I love the new link where we can jump into the customer profile from within the sales order window.  Do you know why tho.....it is not available when I first create a new sales order.  I have to close the window, then reopen it in order to use that feature?  I tried it again after updating to this 205a version just in case it got fixed in there, but it is still the case.  Any ideas?  thanks...

The button is a link to a Customer record so your will have to do one of two things:

1 - select a Customer with pulldown list (or start typing the first few letters of name so it auto fills).  Now you have a Customer so button is now active so you can click on it to open Customer record window.

2 - Create a new customer by entering Customers First name (a space) Last name and press Tab key.  A new Customer record will pop up with first and last names filled in.  Fill in rest of fields and save. Anytime later in Order you can click on the button and Customer record will pop up.

Hope this helps

Cheers,
Stan

Thanks Stan....I understand how it is supposed to work, but it doesn't always work.  For instance, I just went and tried it again.  I started a new sales order, put in a current customer, hit enter and the .... link is grayed out.  I tried to enter some products to see if it would make it available but it didn't.  Until I actually hit save, it wouldn't make it available.  However, on some customers it works immediately like it should, but on many it doesn't.  I even thought maybe it had something to do with which customers were knewer than others, but I could find no obvious reason for it.  Strange!!

The problem seems to be the "Enter" key, does not work with pulldown lists (I built in a work around for the address lookup/display that works but does not help with Customer button).  I will have to look into adding a separate work around for Customer button.

It works when you scroll down trough list and click or when using "Tab" key (the default Windows save/advance for fields).

Cheers,
Stan
