Hi Pam - I think there is a getting started section in the help.... the bit of stuff I'm going to mention is off the top of my head..... First thing if you have purchased it is to go into "Setup!" and to put in your information including your code. If you haven't purchased it, you still want to go into setup - but you can't setup everything....
While in setup, check the settings out for any applicable taxes... Where i am , I had to set up a national tax of 6%, and a provincial tax of 7%. Of course, that will depend on where you live!
Once you think you have stuff setup good, I'd go to "File", "Download Brochure" - and download the current brochure, plus any previous brochures you can still make purchases from. (Where I am, I can order from 2 previous brochures.)
Now, click on My Customers, and start entering your customer info..... When you get an order from someone, click on Sales Orders - and put in the sales orders.... you enter the 6 digit code for a product, and assuming it finds it in the brochure - it will bring up all the info. Double check - I occasionally find an error in price. Also note that you can specify in the setup whether you want to order at the cheapest price (within all the brochures you can order from)....
Check the help to see if you can upload automatically where you are, and what your settings need to be.
That should get you going.... There is certainly more to the program - inventory (note the program will always take from inventory - which annoys some people who want to buy at times even when they have the item in inventory...) - how to handle shorts and NLA's, and the financial stuff....
It is a FANTASTIC program!
