Hi there

There is a few things that I would like to see to help us out when it comes to MBA... don't get me wrong I love the program and all.. been using if for way more than 15 months now.. .these are just things that I think would be beneficial to have.

1. Early order system.
At this point in time when we print out a purchase order and put it on the Avon site ( I do this manually as I like Data Entry) then I continue to get more orders before the regular campaign due date. Then I print out another purchase order and I have to mark off which items I have already ordered as to not reorder them.

What would be really great is that when we print out the first purchase order to have a message asking something like 'do you want this to be your early order' y/n. if I were to click y then it would save than information as an Early order then when I go to print out the regular purchase order the original items will not be on the new one.
Hope that makes sense.

2. Substitutes... at this point in time when you click on shortages for the campaign you can tell it that the item has been placed on back order, which is great... and then you can tell the system that an item has been substituted and with what... but when you print the invoice the substituted item does not show up...

It would be great if a new line could be added to the order under the substituted item with what the substituted item is.

3. Clearance Brochure....
Here in Australia we have clearance brochures about 3-4 times per year... all the codes are never in the download brochure .... and we have to enter them individually (this is a little tricky when the customer only gives you the product code no description or page number... customers that have not et been trained Smiley )

Is there any way that this information could be entered for us?

4. Product prices... too often lately I have come across items that are 149.90, which is totally incorrect it should be 14.99. there are many other amounts that are on the too high side...

I was wondering how the information gets entered... does it need to be double checked??

Well that is it from me for now, (i have just previewed this and boy it is longer than I thought... sorry) .... as I said at the start I do love the program, just thinking of trying to make our lives simpler.

Sorry about this but I have just thought about another idea..

It is great that we can sort the customers into territories as printing out a delivery list is great for each day. However I find that each time that I print out a delivery list I have to reorder all the customers into a particular route...

If we were to have an option where we can put each customer in a territory and then give them a number..

eg... Monday night territory I have 15 customers I always see and I go the same way all the time to save petrol. if each customer would have a number then when I go to print out delivery list (with and without orders) I wouldnt have to sort them all the time. (and for me I have monday, wednesday night, wednesday day x 2 different, post and other lists)
maybe a option on the delivery list menu like 'do you want them in customer number order?'

I hope that one makes sense.

Answering backwards here.

For your deliveries can you create Number Territories (maybe with a gap for new customers). Say Mon-005, Mon-010, Mon-015, Mon-020 ... Mon-150 and assign them to Customers in delivery route order?

I don't think I get the information on the Clearance Flyer, I will check into it.  If its not to large maybe it can be added.

With Uploading (I know you said you did it manually) you can Print Lists for each Upload. Could you "pretend" to do an Upload (don't submit) then save the Upload data and Print the Upload report, then enter manually as normal.  This way you can do as many per campaign as you like and have a printed list for each.

I have been thinking of Substitutes and its on my ToDo list for next version or one after.

Cheers,
Stan

I have an idea for the next upgrade for Inventory reports.  Could you add when we added inventory by date and campaign and when we sold it.

If we bought:
1 964-166 Super full Mascara on 3/5 C05 for $2.99@
4 964-166 Super full Mascara on 3/19 C06 for $4.50@

Sold:
2 964-166 Super full Mascara on 3/26 C07 for $7.50@

The report would show them going out at:
Bought 3/5 C05 for $2.99 Sold 3/26 C07 for $7.50 Estimate Earnings $4.51
Bought 3/19 C06 for $4.50 Sold 3/26 C07 for $7.50 Estimate Earnings $3.00.

That way we could keep track of the FIFO and profit.  Also would help at tax time.

With regard to the Clearance brochures that you asked about, Linda, I send Stan a copy of the Aussie Tally Form each campaign so that his volunteers can input the codes and descriptions for the brochures that we download.  Unfortunately, the descriptions are not included in the clearance section of the Tally Form.
Cheers,

Kristine

Hi Anne

I have just gone a post in relation to what happened to me when doing what stan suggested.

Just out of curiosity what campaign are you up to? and which district are you? I am 803 in Darwin.

Email me directly and we could nut this out together if you are interested. lindasavon@internode.on.net
