Hi Stan, I have a Palm Tungsten and I was just wondering if there was any way that we could put our mba program on the palm as I do work full time and would be easier to take out my palm than to set up my laptop, that way I don't have little peices of paper with orders in my purse and happen to miss one...have done that many of times, having this on a palm would be perfect.. I would even pay for it as well..

thank you
Sherri

Only for Windows, no PDAs.  However I have a new product I am working on that works over web (and you don't need to own/buy a website, very cool).  So if you have a PDA, Cell phone (or even better the new iPhone), Laptop/Notebook, that connects to web you can get to your data, enter Sales, etc.   You can also access your data from regular PC, say at a Customers house or if your on vacation from hotel or cruise ship's PCs.

Cheers,
Stan

That sounds very interesting, my son who helps me with my business is away at college and this might be a way that be would be able to help me to do what I need to do.

Also if he is at home, (he has a Mac), he can access the data in MBA on Windows and do what I need him to do for me.

About how much might this cost and can you maybe share some more information about this.

Sheri,

Won't be available until second half of May, it will be $19.99 same as MBA (but it only works if you have MBA already as it uses/works with your MBA data, all your data stays on YOUR PC, so no worries about saving your data on someone else's server).

And yes Doris, you will be able to access your data with a Mac.  So a Rep could have a PC at home but use a Mac notebook/laptop.

Warning: It is not designed as a replacement for MBA but to help a Rep access their data remotely.  Just like MBA it will get more features over time (free upgrades too just like MBA).  The main things will be to view Customer info (and customer Order/Payment history), lookup products/prices in Brochures. Add payments. Print Invoice (PDF file that you view/print from your web browser).  You won't be able to do everything you do on your PC but I think it could be a big help to some Reps.

What I envision is a Rep being able to be away from home and still being able to view/update data (with a PC, Notebook, iPhone, larger PDA).  Also thinking of maybe a way for Helpers to Login and add/edit Orders (but only see their stuff, not yours or other Helpers).  Also good for partners, both can access the data.  Lots of possibilities.

Cheers,
Stan

No, just testing it now. Hope to have first version out soon (in next few weeks if tests ok).

I'll have more news on it probably next week.

Thanks, I might take you up on that offer.  Just waiting for a new update to my development software (fixes a nasty bug in iMBA).

I just got the update installed today will try it out in next few days.  I have to get MBA 2.07 out first then I will make iMBA and eMBA available. If all goes well maybe Saturday or Sunday.  eMBA (works with web browser) will have limited functionality in beginning (but upgrades will be free just like MBA).  There will be some things you just can't do because its in a Browser, but is very cool to see Brochures and Customer records/history in a browser. Found it very fast too.

Cheers,
Stan
