where you put cost of goods. Do I put the amount on my invoice from avon what i pay them. which is the total of personal, customers, demo, samples, etc. or do I add up customers sales at my cost

See MBA's built in Help for "Sales Summary Report". Covers this an more on calculations and including your discount from Avon from your Statement.  Just press F1, click on Helps "Search" tab, enter Sales Summary, click on List Topics button.

when I pull up my summery report the totals for my customers sales are different than the invoices
