I want to try the demo version of MBA, and will probably be purchasing very soon. However, I'd like to install the program to my USB portable drive - which is where I have my current Avon database stored (a simple DB I created myself). Running the database from my portable drive allows me to use it on whatever computer I happen to be near at the time, which is very handy, as I don't have/don't want a laptop.

So can this program be installed and run from a USB drive, or does it create a registry key or other settings on the main operating system that makes it impossible to use from my portable drive?

Yes you can, just change the default drive (on third screen in Setup, click on Browse button) and change the Destination drive/folder to your USB drive.
