I have a question for Stan or anyone out there.

When we purchase a Beauty Bundle or Frangrance Bundle it is several different items for a DEMO price.

For Instance Beauty Bundle has 6 different products and is purchased by me for $45.00
*Anew
*Mascara
*Solutions
*Far Away
*Surreal
*Bubble Bath

However, I usually sell the products separately.

If I just load in the DEMO# for the total bundle - MBA doesn't recognize that each item is separate and going into inventory.

So when I sell it, it will not depelete inventory.

DOES ANYONE HAVE THOUGHTS OR INSIGHT IN HOW THEY HANDLE THIS?  Suggestions without re-inventing the wheel?

Thank you,

Laura

Are you going to sell all your Demos or just some of them?

Don't know what other Reps would do but I would be temped to write them off (as Demos) then when you sell them put them into Inventory and sell them as 100% profit (you already wrote cost off as a demo).

What this means is you enter them in "Sales" in "My Accounting" but put nothing in "Cost of Goods" (again because you wrote them off earlier as demos).

Maybe some Reps will comment with other ways of doing it.

Hope this Helps

Cheers,
Stan

As I am new to Avon and MBA I've been learning to use MBA. My main issues have been with inventory so I had to do some "playing" with the features of MBA. I found that if you create a sales order with inventory on it, then do an "add inventory from campain" and it's the same campain, then do a purchase order with update inventory checked for the same campain that the purcahse order wont order what it thinks you already have. So if you want to get a bundle or have a bundle use the item number and cost for the bundle on your sales order with "D" for demo in the "T" column, then break it down in the same sales order with the individual item numbers (if you can find them) but 0.00 as cost and "I" in the "T" column for inventory. Do the "Add inventory from campain" then do the purcahse order that way  the purchase order will think that you already have the individual items and wont order them but shouldn't know that they are part of the bundle. This will put them into invertory and you can pull them out to use or sell. In your inventory shelf (which I about never found) Grin you can then adjust cost and retail. Just remember not to count cost in your accounting if you counted it with demos. If you want cost of each item just divide the bundle cost by how many products are in the bundle  Example: $45.00 didided by 6 products = $7.50 per product.

Stan PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong about this, or if this is all confusing.

Anyway this is how I am planing on doing it, like I said I'm new and still inputing my first 4 campains. I am in my 5th campain now so I hope to be caught up by the time I have to submit this one.

Hope this helps.

MBA won't add items to your Order to Avon if they are in Inventory already (assumes you want to sell whats in Inventory first). So what your doing is probably the only way around it.
