Another question from the "newbie"! I like to keep the program backed up and in Timesaver, which I had been using, you could choose to back up to the CD drive. I don't see that in MBA, only that it backs up to C drive which won't help in a acomputer crash. I found the file and put it on the desktop (easy access) and the right clicked and hit "send to" CD drive and it says "permission denied".... I have tried with the MBA program both closed and opened..hmmmm How can I back up to a CDRW??
Thanks, eh!  Undecided

I just tried and it worked here ok.  My CD drive is D: and I just selected it with the button to right of Path field. I selected D: from List and clicked Ok, when back on Backup window I clicked on Backup button and file Backed Up as expected.

Could it be an issue with that CD-RW disk (not formatted, bad disk)?  Can you copy other files to it (say using My Computer)?

Another test (just to make sure you are doing it right) is to create a temporary folder on your hard drive and see if you can Backup to that ok.

Hope this helps

Cheers,
Stan

???Okay I did this, didn't realize there was drop down choices (computer duh!!) and hit okay and after a couple of seconds it says backup unsuccessful... Its a new cd.. When you choose D drive is that all it says in that spot  D:\  or am I supposed to type something else in there. My CD drive does not even light up so am thinking I should be putting more info there?? I haven't changed anything in the top box, backup file name... I will leave this and ask my computer "smarter than me" sons when one of them is home.. Cry
Thanks..

Just a guess, but I think its the CD-RW (bad or not formatted).  Having just D:\ for Path should be ok (thats the root/top folder of the CD-RW).

An easy way to check is to try and copy a file to the CD-RW (just delete it after if it works).

Cheers,
